Noah Langenfeld

Waushara County native to receive Albertson Medallion Award

Noah Langenfeld, rural Hancock, has been selected to receive the Albertson Medallion Award from UW-Stevens Point.  Announced by Chancellor Bernie Patterson, this is the highest honor given at UWSP and presented to less than 1 percent of all graduates who exemplify the outstanding qualities of a leader, a scholar and an active participant as a citizen.

Noah will graduate this Spring at the top of his class with a double major in Biochemistry and Biology and an emphasis on Chemistry and Aquaponics.

In pursuit of his PhD, he has accepted a fully funded research assistantship offer from Utah State University where he will work on a joint project with NASA to develop and optimize systems for producing food in micro-gravity for sustained space travel.

Noah attended Coloma Elementary school through sixth grade and then transferred to Wisconsin Connections Academy where he completed high school.  He is the son of Chris and Gwen Langenfeld of rural Wild Rose.
