Wautoma Rotary makes a difference in community

No summer event is more attended than the Waushara County Fair, and this year Wautoma Rotary was ready to add gate personnel support as hours were expanded. This provided an opportunity to raise more funds for the club as Don Nelson of the Fair Board, also a Wautoma Rotarian, presented president Jeff Martz with the largest in-kind donation the club has ever received in the years of working the gates for the Fair. Again, the club is seeking further help in staffing the gates each and every year in order to raise money for its causes. Freedom Fest 2019 showed successes not seen before thanks in part to increased support from Wautoma Rotary. The club was able to double its financial support this year, hold a Commemorative T-Shirt Design Contest which carried a monetary award, provide a food stand along the parade route, and provide added memorabilia and concessions at the Fest. These were all new items to Freedom Fest this year, and the club is yet seeking further help in providing great additions to the event in years to come. Please consider joining the club any Wednesday for their weekly programming. Meetings are held at Christianos, 200 W. Main Street in Wautoma, at noon and end promptly by 1 p.m. The club welcomes you to show them your individual skills and gifts which can be developed for the good of Waushara County.
