Jared Abbrederis speaks at Kiwanis meeting

On Feb. 6 at Wautoma Kiwanis Clubs dinner meeting held at Silvercryst, Wautoma, the club welcomed Jared Abbrederis as their guest speaker. Jared moved to Wautoma with his family when he was four-years-old from West Allis. He graduated from Wautoma High School and went to UW-Madison. He was then drafted to become a Green Bay Packer. In 2018, Jared decided to start his S.O.W. Foundation, where S.O.W. stands for “Supporting Others to Win”. With the help of Waushara County Human Services, Jared set up programs to help others in the community. This year Jared added five more counties to his S.O.W. Foundation list. He now has Waushara, Waupaca, Juneau, Adams, Green Lake, and Marquette counties working with his foundation. Jared said he was taught by his parents at a very young age to give back from his weekly allowance. Those teachings have stuck with him, and now he is able to help many in need through his S.O.W. Foundation and the help of the employees at the six County Human Services offices. Jared and his wife Rachel have three children—two girls and one boy—and Jared works for Thrivent Financial as a Financial Planner.
