Hometown Pharmacy co-owner speaks at Kiwanis meeting
On Sept. 12, the Wautoma Kiwanis Club welcomed Julie Udulutch, owner/pharmacist of Hometown Pharmacy, Wautoma, to their morning breakfast meeting at Culver’s, Wautoma. Julie she went to UW-Madison for five years. After college she started working at Walgreens in Waupaca. Julie has two sons and two step children. After working at Walgreens, she took a job in Stevens Point at an independent pharmacy. The pharmacy was then sold to Shopko, which brought her to Wautoma. After Shopko closed, she went to work at another independent pharmacy called Hometown Pharmacy in Plover that her husband Kent co-owns. The idea to open Hometown in Wautoma came up, and Julie decided to be co-owner of this Hometown Pharmacy. The home office for all Hometown Pharmacy’s is located in Rio with many other stores in Wisconsin. Hometown Pharmacy is now open from 9 a. m. to 6 p.m. Monday thru Friday, and on Saturday’s 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Besides the pharmacy, Julie has a gift shop and sells greeting cards, so she invites everyone to stop in and see her new store, located in the old Radio Shack location in the Midstate Building on Hwy 21. Julie will be happy to answer any questions you might have about your prescriptions or how to transfer your prescriptions to Hometown Pharmacy at 920-787-9561.
