Carol Herrmann named new Poy Sippi Lions Club President

Carol Herrmann is the new president of the Poy Sippi Lions Club, effective July 1. She replaces Patrick Nehring, who served as president for the past several years.

Hermann said, “I am looking forward to working with fellow Lions members to provide funds and services for the betterment of the Poy Sippi community.”

Past club activities include hosting Poy Sippi Days, making and selling pizzas, hosting an annual Carol Herrmann Halloween party for area children, and providing vision tests for kids. The club has made donations to the Poy Sippi Library, Poy Sippi Betterment Society, college scholarships, and numerous other organizations. The Lions also help to support the Poy Sippi food Pantry.

Herrmann explained the world-wide mission of the Lions is “To em-power volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, en-courage peace and promote international understanding through Lions Clubs.”

Herrmann said, “We are always in search of new members and anyone interested in learning more about our club, or any of the other five clubs in Waushara County (Coloma, Hancock, Plainfield, Redgranite or Wild Rose), can inquire at If you would enjoy making new friends, while at the same time helping others, we’d like to hear from you.  If you want to be part of something good, be a Lion.”
