Wild Rose Classic Car Show supports HEROES

For the fifth consecutive year, the Wild Rose Classic Car Show are HEROES for their local American Red Cross.  Their $250 gift has been earmarked for local disaster relief in Waushara County.     Fortunately, through the generosity of such organ-izations as the Wild Rose Classic Car Show, the Red Cross is able to provide such things as temporary shelter, food, clothing, shoes, hygiene kits, prescription medication, quilts and a shoulder to lean on to those impacted by disaster.  In Waushara County, 95% of the disasters are residential fires.  “HEROES are in our midst every single day,” said Vicki Jenks, American Red Cross Community Volunteer Leader.  “The additional beauty of HEROES is that the money raised stays local.  Although Americans generously re-spond to national and global disasters, it’s nice to know that we can take care of our own local citizens.”   If you are interested in volunteering for the Red Cross, please call Lee Borofka, at (920) 227-4286 or Email lee.borofka@redcross.org.
