Plainfield Trucking acknowledges employees for safety efforts at annual event on June 4

The Plainfield Trucking’s annual employee safety event was held on June 4. The theme of this year’s event was Respect the Unexpected and focused on education and prevention. The company hosted the event at the Plainfield terminal.

To kick off the event, Truck Country provided a lunch for all employees and guests. The program began with educational and informational breakout sessions including a distracted driving demo, safety procedure refreshers, fuel cost reduction education (MPG & Idling), a review of pre-trip procedures, an introduction to new apps and technology, wellness information and benefit reviews.

Keynote speaker, John Siedl, sponsored by Integrated Risk Solutions, spoke to the employees about Federal Motor Carrier’s regulations and answered driver’s questions. The event was sponsored by Plainfield Trucking and by the generous donations from the following vendors: Truck Country, Outagamie Co-op,  Kwik Trip, Wisconsin Kenworth, Goodyear, Schierl Tire, Air Gas, Humphries, JX Wausau, Mutual of Omaha, United Healthcare, Fond Du Lac Truck, Charles Automotive, Aramark, Fox Valley Truck, ICW Insurance Group, Napa of Plainfield, Trudell, North Central Utility, Imperial, Pomp’s Tire, Wisconsin Metal, Beaver of Wisconsin, Fox Valley Truck, CGR,  Bauer Built, and Lube Tech.

Following the breakout sessions and keynote speech, the company provided a dinner and distributed the annual awards.
