Rural Rembrandts to host acrylic artist Judy Marks

At the Tuesday, Oct. 22 meeting of the Rural Rembrandt Art Club, artist Judy Marks will be demonstrating acrylic pouring. This method of painting uses fluid acrylic paint and pouring mediums to achieve marbled effects, creating beautiful abstract art in any variety of colors. This method is especially good for people who want to make art but are intimidated by formal artistic technique.

The Rural Rembrandt business meeting will be held Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 1:30 p.m. in the Wautoma Public Library meeting room. Judy’s demonstration will follow at 2 p.m. There is a fee for non-members.

The club meets April through November on the fourth Tuesday of the month, and they always welcome new members. Their mission is to promote the creative arts within the community and to afford a means of education, encouragement, and opportunity for emerging artists.
