Waushara County accidents reported
8/20/18: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 12:18 a.m. on STH 73 northbound, Town of Marion. There was a complaint from Marquette County resident that a possibly impaired driver had left Kayla’s Pub in Neshkoro. While patrolling, an officer located the vehicle owned by Jeremy Paul Amsden, 38, Berlin. Amsden’s vehicle was in the ditch on STH 73 south of Cty Rd YY. The vehicle was heavily damaged and Amsden had to be extracted by Fire Dept. personnel. Amsden was med flighted by ThedaStar due to injuries. Amsden was also suspected of being impaired. A blood search warrant was applied for and granted. An investigation showed Amsden was northbound on STH 73 and had ran off the roadway, striking a traffic advisory sign, struck a ditch, was airborne, and then rolled.
8/22/18: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 12:55 p.m. on W10812 Brown Deer Rd., Town of Deerfield. Shirley A. Miller, 79, Hancock, was traveling eastbound on Brown Deer Drive when the driver stated she looked out the side window and drove off the roadway, striking a tree. The vehicle was across the centerline and off the roadway on the opposite side of the road for about 100 feet before striking the tree. Miller stated that she has medical problem but does not feel they contributed to the accident.
