Waushara County accident report

• 4/4/18: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 3:38 p.m. on State Road 21, Town of Aurora. Michael Christopher Kern, 45, Redgranite, was traveling westbound on State Road 21 when Kern saw that there was a dog in the roadway. He said that he hit the brakes to avoid hitting the dog, lost control on the snow-covered road, ran off the roadway to the right, struck a tree on the north side of the road and then struck a second tree before coming to a rest. One citation was issued. No injuries were reported. 

• 4/4/18: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 7:45 a.m. on State Road 152, Town of Mt. Morris. Sarena Ann Jensen, 28, Wautoma, was approaching a curve in the roadway when she observed a vehicle traveling toward her lane of traffic. Jensen swerved to avoid a head on collision, left the roadway, entering the south ditch. Jensen’s vehicle then struck a sign post coming to a rest in the ditch. The second vehicle did not stop at the crash scene. No injuries were reported.

• 4/6/18: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 11:25 a.m. on County Road WW, Town of Mt. Morris. Ryan M. Donovan, 29, Roselle, IL, was traveling northbound on County Road WW when he began to negotiate a curve, hit the right shoulder. Donovan overcompensated and crossed the centerline, continued through the southbound lane of travel and entered the left ditch. The vehicle struck the utility boxes then continued back onto the southbound lane of travel and stopped. No injuries were reported.
