No injuries reported in forced landing on July 22
On July, 22 at 6:29 pm, two people in an airplane experienced a mechanical problem. They called 911 and made contact with the Waushara County 911 Communications Center. They reported they were having problems and would be forced to make an emergency landing. They did land in a farm field and were safe. GPS placed the plane in a field off 28th Road in the Town of Saxeville. Law enforcement, fire, and EMS responded. There was damage to the landing gear and the propeller, but otherwise the airplane was intact. The two occupants were from Port Orange, FL. on their way to the airport in Waupaca from Florida, for the EAA Convention. They were transported to the Waupaca Airport by the Sheriff’s Office.
