Accidents reported in Waushara County

•11/26/19: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 11:27 p.m. on IH-39 northbound, Town of Hancock. Seth Andrew Cole, 22, Waukesha, stated he hit a patch of black ice and over corrected. Cole couldn’t say exactly what happened during the crash, but it appeared by the tire tracks that the vehicle left the roadway on the left shoulder. The vehicle slid the embankment in the median and rolled once and then came to rest on the drivers side.

•11/30/19: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 5:49 a.m. on STH 73 northbound, Town of Oasis. Antonio DeJesus Cano, 27, Wautoma, lost control on the snow-covered roadway and slid into a ditch. Cano struck several mailboxes and then crossed 10th Ct and came to rest in the east ditch.

•11/30/19: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 6:25 a.m. on Cree Drive, Town of Marion. Dallen James Wilson, 58, Fond du Lac, failed to negotiate the first 90-degree curve, going off the roadway and striking a ditch, which caused full airbag deployment. The roadway was snow/slush-covered, and the driver was not familiar with the roadway.

•11/30/19: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 10:49 a.m. on CTH O eastbound, Town of Oasis. Lester L. Price, 80, Pine River, was descending a small hill and lost control on the snow/slush-covered roadway. The vehicle crossed the center line and entered the north ditch. The vehicle spun 180 degrees and came to rest facing southbound in the north ditch.

•11/30/19: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 2:10 p.m. on CTH AA southbound, Town of Rose. Samuel David Wiegers, 26, Wisconsin Rapids, had just finished negotiating a curve when he lost control on the snow/slush-covered roadway. The vehicle crossed the center line and entered the east ditch. The vehicle then rolled over on its side and struck trees in the ditch line.

•11/30/19: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 4:32 p.m. on Marlwood Drive, Town of Deerfield. An unknown driver struck the stop sign and road sign on Marlwood Drive at County Road C. The driver then proceeded across Marlwood Drive and entered the southwest ditch and then reentered the roadway and left the scene. Vehicle parts were left at the scene, and there was damage to both the stop sign and the road sign for County Road C and Marlwood Drive intersection.

•12/01/19: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 5:15 a.m. on STH 21 westbound, Town of Richford. Roberto Garcia, 56, Wautoma, lost control on the snow/slush-covered roadway and slid off into the west ditch. The front bumper was broken when the vehicle entered the ditch.

•12/01/19: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 4:20 p.m. on 4th Ave, Town of Coloma. Cal Richard Jenkins, 17, Silver Lake, was on 4th Avenue approaching the stop sign at State Road 21. Carly Patrice Vandenhouten, 19, Oshkosh, was stopped at the stop sign on 4th Avenue waiting to turn west on State Road 21, when Jenkins rear ended Vandenhouten. The intersection was snow-covered and icy.

•12/02/19: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 10:35 a.m. on W. Bannerman Ave/STH 21 eastbound, Village of Redgranite. Thomas Gerard Konsitzke, 61, Mauston, was driving westbound on State Road 21, and Timothy Ray Bock, 46, Redgranite, was driving eastbound on State Road 21. The rear drivers side tire of Bock broke loose from the vehicle and entered the westbound lane. Konsitzke struck the loose tire.

•12/03/19: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 4 a.m. at Blackhawk Ave, Town of Leon. A Deputy responded to a suspicious complaint of a male walking in the area. The Deputy located the male matching the given description. The male was identified as David M. Schuelke, 76, Wild Rose. Schuelke advised that he left his residence due to ongoing mental health issues. Schuelke was unaware of where he was. Schuelke admitted to driving and crashing his vehicle into a tree. Deputies located the vehicle and found that the driver was traveling eastbound and failed to properly negotiate a curve, which caused him to run off the roadway and strike a tree. Schuelke advised that the roadway was slippery, so he could not get the traction to turn.

•12/05/19: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 1:30 p.m. on CTH C eastbound, Town of Deerfield. Javier Hernandez, 28, Hancock, was driving a tractor with an attached manure trailer. He was traveling eastbound on County Road C at County Road GG. Hernandez made a left turn to travel northbound on County Road GG. Kenneth L. Laudolff, 67, New London, was traveling eastbound on County Road C and observed the slow moving tractor. Laudolff executed to pass Hernandez in a No Passing Zone. As Laudolff made the pass, Hernandez made a left turn onto County Road GG. Laudolff collided with Hernandez in the rear left driver’s side tire. Hernandez’s vehicle sustained no damage and was removed by the operator. Laudolff’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was removed by the operator. Citation for Passing in No Passing Zone was issued to Laudolff.
