Wild Rose seniors Andrew Henschel, Tanner Deist and Dillon Martin secured a ticket to the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association State Tournament after competing in the Division 2 Individual Sectional meet on Feb. 17 in Richland Center.

Of the seven wrestlers from Wautoma/Wild Rose who competed in the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Division 2 Individual Sectional meet on Feb. 17 in Richland Center, three Warriors advanced to the state tournament at the Kohl Center in Madison this Thursday, Feb.

Tri-County High School and Middle School Student Council members held a PHACEing the Future Benefit for the 4-month-old son of middle school teacher Korryn Dean during the final regular season girls basketball game on Feb. 16.

Wild Rose High School senior Alec VandeCastle went over the 1,000-point mark in his varsity basketball career at Almond-Bancroft on Feb. 16. VandeCastle became only the fourth boys basketball player in Wild Rose history to accomplish this feat, and the third under current Head Coach Jim Komp.

Waushara County Circuit Court Judge Guy Dutcher administered the Oath of Office to newly-appointed Waushara County District Attorney Steven Anderson during a ceremony on Feb. 16 at the Waushara County Courthouse in Wautoma.

Cheryl Lafreniere, Chicago, and Terry Cox, Gainesville, FL, bravely jumped into Silver Lake on Feb. 18 during the Wautoma Area Fire District/Water Operations Polar Plunge. The proceeds from the event will be used to purchase dive team equipment and dive team classes.

Neshkoro Fire Chief Tom Krueger recognized Jason Weitz as Neshkoro Firefighter of the Year during their annual Christmas Party on Feb. 10 at the fire station.

The Neshkoro Area Fire and Protection District’s Fire Department held its annual Christmas Party on Saturday, Feb. 10, at the fire station. In attendance were firefighters, spouses, girlfriends, family members, district board members and their spouses.
