Wild Rose High School senior athletes posed for a photo with guest speaker Olympic wrestler Dennis Hall following the senior athletic banquet sponsored by the Wild Rose Booster Club on May 17 at the Wild Rose Lions Club Building.

In 2016, the Neshkoro Area Fire District set out to raise money for a new emergency vehicle to assist with medical calls. In less than nine months with help from area residents and businesses, the vehicle sits ready for use at the fire department.

Wild Rose senior Paul Hernandez won second place in the 200M Dash with a time of 23.93 to advance to sectionals during the Wisconsin Athletic Association Division 3 Regional Meet at Tri-County High School on May 22. Hernandez will also compete in the 4x200 and 4x400 Meter Relays in Rosholt on May 25.

The Wild Rose boys and girls track and field teams advanced 24 events to the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Division 3 Sectional Meet after competing at the regional competition at

Tri-County High School seniors Nicholas Gilbert, Briana Dickinson and Ivy Klabunde were recipients of three of the larger scholarships given during the Senior Awards Night at the Tri-County High School Auditorium on May 17. Gilbert was the recipient of the Wisconsin Technical Excellence Scholarship, $2,250 per year for three years; Dickinson was awarded the the Herb Kohl Initiative Scholarship for $10,000; and Klabunde received the Academic Excellence Scholarship for $2,250 per year for four years.

During the Tri-County High School Senior Awards Night held in the Tri-County High School Auditorium, on May 17, graduating seniors received $51,300 in scholarships.
