After hearing a possible invasive species was growing in the City of Wautoma Millpond, City Administrator/Clerk/ Treasurer Tommy Bohler spoke to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Water Resources Management Specialist Ted Johnson who said it looked like Reed Canary Grass.

Members of the AMVETS Riders Wisconsin Chapter 13 presented a $2,200 check to the Waushara County Veterans Service Office in Wautoma on Sept. 11. The funds presented were from the AMVETS Riders Poker Run held on Aug. 27.

Wautoma senior Anja Blija went up for a kill during the third set of the non-conference home game against Laconia on Sept. 5. The Hornets went on to defeat the Spartans in the third set, 29-27, but would ultimately fall to Laconia, 3-1 (25-19, 25-13, 27-29, 25-22). Blija led the Hornets with 16 kills.
