Wautoma/Wild Rose’s Girl Harriers place 11th at State Cross Country Meet

Last Saturday on Oct. 31, the Wautoma/Wild Rose Girl Harriers placed 11th at the WIAA Division 2 State Cross Country Meet held at Colby High School.

Winneconne won the team competition with 70 points followed by Osceola with 119, Kewaskum 122, Lake Mills 126, Two Rivers 134, Saint Croix Central 149, Catholic Memorial 150, Tomahawk 165, Freedom 171, Aquinas 224, Wautoma/Wild Rose 243, and Colby 273.

Mya Bahr led the Hornet/Wildcat harriers with a 37th place finish with a time of 20:49 for 5000 meters.  Teagan Reitz finished 47th, Madylyn Woyak 92nd, Megan Miller 96th, Laney Panich 97th, Laney Havlovitz 102nd, and Jaidyn Knueppel 113th.

Kayci Martensen of Southwestern Co-op was the individual winner with a time of 18:09.

Aquinas won the boy’s race followed by Kiel and Freedom.
