Westfield Lady Pioneers earned the title of Regional Champs during the Feb. 13 game against the Adams-Friendship Lady Green Devils during the WIAA girls basketball regional game.
Westfield overtook Adams the whole game, ending the first half 29-19. The team kept the momentum going into the second half, with most of the points on the board going to the winning team. The Lady Pioneers ended strong and were crowned Regional Champs 61-36.
Trista Drew was the top scorer of the night with 15 points while managing 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal. Carly Drew helped with 13 points and 5 rebounds while Lexi Brakebush scored 12 points with 2 rebounds. Brandi Lentz was also a strong asset to the team with 10 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal. Nadia Hoffa had 9 points on the board with 2 rebounds and assists.
