Parkside students participate in Americanism Essay contest

Each year the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 317, Wautoma, hosts an Americanism Essay contest for seventh grade students at Parkside Middle School. For this year’s essay, students answered the prompt “what does patriotism mean to you?” Six students submitted essays and the top three were awarded with a monetary award. All students also received a certificate and letter.
