Theresa Anna “Terry” Buckholt, age 74 of rural Berlin, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, June 26, 2022 at her home in the Township of Aurora.  She was surrounded by the love of her family, and under the tender care of ThedaCare At Home Hospice.

Terry was born February 21, 1948 in Berlin, a daughter of Vern and Veronica (Persuda) Knudtson.  She was raised and lived in the Redgranite-Lohrville area.  Terry and her life-partner, Delbert Johannes shared the past 32 years together.

She worked for her sister-in-law, Ramona Knudtson, who owned Superclean, a janitorial and cleaning service in Lohrville and Ripon for a number of years.

She enjoyed gardening, baking, going to the Casinos, and her feline companions.  Her kids and grandkids will miss her “monster cookies” and taco salads that she enjoyed making and sharing with her family, Terry was also a great Elvis Presley and Betty Boop fan.  She was known as “Proud Terry” because of her signature song, “Proud Mary” by C.C.R.

Terry is survived by and will be missed by her life partner, Delbert Johannes, three daughters, Deana Powless of Redgranite, Bobbie (Larry) Golder and Billie (Ken) Rauls, both of Berlin, her son, Dean Powless of Redgranite, her ten grandchildren, Darci, Taylor, Damian, Hannah, Hailee, Payton, Payshence, Michael, Dylan, and McKayla, her brother, Harvey (Jeannie) Knudtson of Mount Morris, all of Del’s family, other relatives, and dear friends.

Terry was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, Paige, 3 sisters, Veronica, Joyce, and Maryanne, and two brothers, Mike and Chuck.

Funeral services for Theresa Anna “Terry” Buckholt will be held Friday, July 1st. at 11 a.m. at the Ruminski Funeral Home in Redgranite.  Chaplain Karin Derenne will officiate.  Following this Service, Theresa will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery in Wautoma.

Visitation:  Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday only prior to the time of Services at the Ruminski Funeral Home.

Should relatives and friends desire, Memorials will be appreciated in place of flowers to honor Terry’s memory.
