STEPHEN RALPH RANDORF

Stephen Ralph Randorf, 71, of Milwaukee passed away Monday December 21, 2020 at Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Milwaukee.

Stephen Randorf was born November 6, 1949 in Portage, the son of Clayton and Kathryn (Pritchard) Randorf.  Steve graduated from New Berlin High School in 1968 and then attended Carroll College University, Waukesha, and graduated in 1972.  Later he attended UW Milwaukee in the Creative Writing Master’s Program. Steve was fluent in German and spoke other languages too.

Steve lived in several communities growing up (Pardeeville, Mineral Point, Middleton, Sun Prairie, New Berlin) before calling Milwaukee home. Steve spent most of his life as a Property Manager managing various properties. Steve liked to travel and explore the different cultures.  Some of his travels took him to Russia, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, and Great Britain.

Steve was an avid reader.  Throughout Steve’s entire life he enjoyed writing fictional short stories.  Steve became a published author in 2015 with “The Wounded Murderer.”  He went on to have additional books and novellas published.

Steve’s hobbies included the arts, and the love of plants.  In his free time you could find him visiting local artists, museums, or at the Mitchell Park Domes.  He loved studying the plants as well as growing them at home.

 

He is survived by two brothers, Roy (Barb) Randorf of Wis. Rapids, WI and Kurt Randorf of Hancock, WI; one sister Mary (Chris) Owen of Tomah, WI.  He is also survived by nephews and nieces, Jason (Kristina) Randorf, Sonya (Ryan) Frost, Grant Nelson, Tiffany (Eric) Hall, Trent (Ashley) Vandervort, and Kasey (Mike) Nelson,   

along with great nephews and great nieces, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
