LLEWELYN E. SCHROEDER

Llewelyn Edward Schroe-der, 91, passed away January 10, 2021 at Whispering Pines Lodge. He was born in Oshkosh, October 15, 1929, the son of the late Edward and Florence (Tetzloff) Schroeder.

Llewelyn was a veteran of the Korean War in the Army 1951-1953, and belonged to the American Legion, Mead-Rath-Gutke Post 339, Almond.

Llewelyn married Carrie Spafford July 18, 1953 in Oshkosh, and have spent 67 years together.

They lived in Milwaukee for 10 years, and he worked at Allis Chalmers as a steam fitter, then he moved to Almond, where he farmed and worked for Portage County Highway Department for 25 years. In 1988, moved to Plainfield, where he retired and enjoyed fishing, gardening and being with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Carrie, three daughters, Karen (Leonard) Baltzell, Stevens Point, Lois (Peter) Eastling, Plainfield, Janet Footit, Almond, four Grandchildren, Trina (Jim) Baltzell-Gauthier, Stevens Point, Eric Baltzell, Stevens Point, Joshua (Lindsay Schallock) Eastling, Plainfield, Stacey (Jim) Howard, Bancroft, five Great Grandchildren, Cali, Ashlyn, Logan, and Ember Eastling and Wyatt Howard, Sister Beverly Sanchez, Oshkosh, Sister-in-laws Karen Schroeder, Wisconsin Rapids, Doreen Schroeder, West Bend and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Ronald, his parents, Grandson Adam Eastling, two sisters and brother-in-laws, Jeanette and Gayle Davis and Wilma and Howard Pekarske, brother and sister-in-law, Arleigh and Donna Schroeder, and three brothers Kenneth, Richard, Melvin, (James) Schroeder, and brother-in-law Lupe Sanchez.

Graveside services will be held at the Plainfield Cemetery at a later date.
