BOB KARTMAN

Bob Kartman, age 92, of Neshkoro, passed away at his home on Thursday, December 31, 2020.  He was born on June 17, 1928, in Madison, a son of Elgie L. and Hilda (Taylor) Kartman.

Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army from November 28, 1950 to November 7, 1952. He then served another four years in the United States Army Reserve being honorably discharged on December 11, 1956. On December 23, 1950, Bob married Marcia Wakeman in Madison.

While living in Madison, Bob became a Mason at the Masonic Lodge in Middleton and later became a 32nd Degree Mason. He was also a proud member of the Zor Shriners.

Bob spent his working years in the Ford automotive business. He was an automotive salesman at Kayser Ford in Madison for 28 years. He also worked as a   new car manager at Capitol Ford in Madison for 11 years before becoming the new fleet and lease manager for Fountain Ford Mercury in Wautoma. Eventually Bob decided to start his own business and opened Country Pride Motors in Wautoma. After several years, he sold Country Pride Motors but continued working there until he completely retired in 2019.    

Bob enjoyed boating on Lake Mendota, playing cribbage, fishing, pheasant hunting and deer hunting.

Those Bob leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 70 years, Marcia Kartman of Neshkoro; Four children, Stephen (Susan) Kartman of Whitewater, Sue Kartman (Cindy Walters) of Fifield, Kay (Steve) Neuenschwander of Oregon, Kris (Ken) Penia of Bradenton, FL; Four grandchildren, Nathan and Ashley Kartman; Kim and Alex Neuenschwander; Two great grandchildren, Gracie and Taylor; brother, Lou Kartman of Winneconne; his beloved dog, Kalie; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John; his dog, Nikki.
