The show must go on at Wild Rose High School

Subhead

This is the normal time of year to see high schools putting on musicals, but as we all know, COVID-19 plays a role in what can and cannot be done.

After Wild Rose High School had things set up to perform a musical which involved a fairly good-sized cast, a pit orchestra, and audience participation, it was felt that an alternative musical could be performed with a small cast, limited instruments, and a very limited audience. “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” will be performed at 7 p.m. on Nov. 12, 13, and 14.

The catch is, only three tickets are allowed for each cast and crew member for each performance to allow for safe social distancing for audience members who are required to wear face masks. The seats will be marked off.

Directors Michael Etzwiler and Mikayla Mixdorf have been working with cast member in preparation for the performances. The cast includes: Charlie Brown – Sam Kingston, Sally –Karissa Soerens, Snoopy – Lauren Hayes, Lucy – Renee Margalski (Dana Doherty was originally casted for this role, but had to be quarantined), Linus – Diego Fortuno, and Schroeder – Oliver Schumacher.
