Wild Rose Readers announce book titles for 2021

The Wild Rose Readers book discussion group announced their book titles for this year’s discussions.  The group meets at 10:15 a.m. the third Thursday of the month from January through June, at the Wild Rose Community Center.

This year’s scheduled titles are:

Jan. 19: “My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry” by Fredrik Backman.

Feb. 16: “Rainbow Comes and Goes: A Mother and Son” by Anderson Cooper and Gloria Vanderbilt.

March 16: “The Summer Before the War” by Helen Simonson.

Apr. 20: “Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI” by David Graan.

May 18: “Defending Jacob” by William Landay.

June 15: “The Boston Girl” by Anita Diamant The book discussion group does not meet in July or August.

Alternate titles for substitution, if needed, or reconsideration for next year:

“Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End” by Atul Gawande.

“The Chain” by Adrian McKinty.

“The Rosie Effect” by Graeme C. Simsion.

“The Stars Are Fire” by Anita Shreve.
