St. James Catholic Church of Neshkoro took a special collection at the weekend masses of July 26 and 27, to assist the Blessings Food Pantry of Neshkoro in restocking their food supplies that have been destroyed and damages by vandals during a break in a few weeks ago.
Through the generosity of parishioners and visitors at the weekend masses, a donation of $500 was provided to the pantry to help them in their goal to provide those in need.
In other news, the St. James Annual Chicken and Ham Dinner and Parish Picnic have been canceled for this year.
The Big Raffle Drawing is still on for Sunday, August 9, at 3:30 p.m. at St. James Place. Tickets are available at the church office on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.
