Land Conservation Environmental Poster Contest announces winners

Land/Water/Education Committee selected the winning posters on Jan. 6.  This year they received 81 entries.  They were very pleased with all the student’s entries as it was a year of uncertainty with COVID-19.   

Students were able to earn first through third place.  The first place winning posters were then entered in the Lake Winnebago Land and Water Conservation Association District Area Contest, held on Jan. 22.

 

Primary Division - (Grades K-1): First place winner was Stephen Monacelli, Elementary Division - (Grades 2-3): First place winner was Emily Kapp, Middle Division - (Grades 4-6): First place winner was Gage Gehn, Junior Division– (Grades 7-9): First place winner was Ricardo Garcia and the Senior Division- (Grades 10-12): First place winner was Katy Perez.

This year’s theme was Healthy Forests, Healthy Communities.

The Lake Winnebago Land and Water Conservation Association District Area Contest voting ended on Jan. 29. Listed below the area winners will move to the State Contest:

Grades (K-1)—Stephen Monacelli and Grades (4-6) – Gage Gehn.

A congratulations also goes out to the following who placed in the area contest: Grades (2-3) - Emily Kapp won third place, Grades (7-9) - Ricardo Garcia won fourth place and Grades (10-12) - Katy Perez won second place.
