Brigette Henschel, Director The Tree House of Central Wisconsin, spoke to club members about The Tree House mission to “End Hopelessness Among Teens”.

Henschel stated that helping to build resiliency and relationships guide them to what is true and possible. Located at 140 E Main Street The TreeHouse is a place that teens can meet in a safe space to talk about their feelings and give them a solid footing and a positive outlook for the future.

There are four parts to the program and each is voluntary. The first is Support Group Night, which meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. This group teens talk about what is really going on in their lives.

Part two is Connect Night, meeting the second and fourth Tuesday each month, these nights are devoted to intentionally learn about a God given purpose in their lives.

The third is Mentoring, when a teen attends TreeHouse they have an opportunity to pair with an adult mentor. These act like sounding boards to learn to the teen to help guide them with goal setting and a role model.

Fourth are trips and activities that are selected to help learn about themselves and to build confidence.

The Wautoma Rotary meets every Wednesday at noon at the Stahl Celebration and Remembrance Center east of Wautoma and on Zoom.  Rotary welcomes visitors and prospective new members to each meeting. Masks are required for the in person.
