Flu shots available at Family Health La Clinica

Subhead

Each year, getting a flu shot helps to protect you and your loved ones from getting sick. This year getting your flu shot is more important than ever because it can help reduce the burden on hospitals and healthcare systems responding to COVID-19. Plus, flu shots are covered by most insurance plans at little or no cost to you.

The CDC encourages everyone aged six months and older to get a flu shot. For those who have a high risk of severe flu complications, this is even more critical. High-risk individuals include older adults, children younger than two years old, pregnant women, and people with certain chronic conditions like asthma or diabetes. Even if you are not high risk, getting a flu shot helps prevent the spread to others who may be more at risk.

“Getting a flu shot helps protect your health and those around you,” says Dr. Javier Rincon, Family Practice Physician and Chief Medical Officer at Family Health La Clinica. “During the COVID-19 pandemic, getting a flu shot is not only safe; it is essential.” Flu season is here, so now is an excellent time to get your flu shot if you haven’t already.

To get your flu shot, schedule a nurse visit by calling 1-800-942-5330. Availability will be first-come, first-serve, so there is no need to call ahead to schedule an appointment.
