ThedaCare welcomes Chief Nursing Officer

ThedaCare leaders are pleased to announce Jackie Anhalt has joined ThedaCare as Chief Nursing Officer. In this role, Anhalt oversees and coordinates nursing operations throughout Theda-Care. She is responsible for leading efforts with ThedaCare’s large, talented nursing team to ensure safe, high-quality care is delivered to every patient.

Anhalt is committed helping each person achieve better health for life, putting patients and families first at every interaction. Under Anhalt’s direction, teams treat every patient as an individual, taking the time to listen to and understand their unique needs.

In this role, Anhalt directs the largest group of team members at ThedaCare, which includes more than 3,000 nursing positions. Since joining the organization as Chief Nursing Officer, she has already developed trusting relationships by recognizing the value each person brings to a team. Anhalt encourages team members to share relevant information, develop plans and stay proactive in their patient’s care.

 

Anhalt has a strong background in leading operations and has held several positions at Genesis Health System in Iowa since 1991. Most recently, Jackie served as Vice President of Patient Services/Chief Nurse Executive. During her time at Genesis, Jackie achieved the organization’s third MAGNET re-designation and secured “best in class” employee engagement scores for six consecutive years. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from St. Ambrose University and a Master of Science in Health Education from Western Illinois University. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, AONL – American Organization of Nurse Leaders, WONL – Wisconsin Organization of Nurse Leaders and holds an ANCC Nurse Executive Advanced Board Certification.
