American Legion Post 317 and Auxiliary hold Veteran’s Day ceremony

Chaplain and Retired Colonel Alan Spitler gave the address at the Veterans Day ceremony held at the WWII Memorial Building in Wautoma on Nov. 11.  Chaplain Spitler reminded the Veterans and guests in attendance that of Duty, Honor, and Country. He said, “We carry the flag in public – like only we can do; we bury our comrades with dignity; and we care for one another the best we know how.”  When Chaplain Colonel Spitler retired in Jan. 2014, his General said that Col. Spitler was the best chaplain he had ever worked with.
