Accidents reported in Waushara County

08/26/2020: A two-veh-icle accident occurred at 9:50 a.m. on CTHF eastbound, in the Town of Marion. Kenneth Knaack, 70, Ripon, stopped at the stop sign where Woodhaven Blvd. intersects with County Road F. He did not see the eastbound Linda Rather, 63, Ripon, who was approaching in a white truck on County Road F. Knaack pulled in front of Rather, causing an angle style collision.

08/27/2020: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 8:43 p.m. on CTHE southbound, in the Town of Saxeville. Kevin Pingel, 48, Neenah, stated he was attempting to turn northbound on County Road AE from S County Road A. Pingel observed an oncoming car traveling southbound on County Road AE, buy was unaware that Shawn Engel, 53, Pine River, was in front of the car on his motorcycle. Pingel then attempted to turn northbound from the stop sign he was at and at that time, Engel had collided with the rear driver side of his truck. Pingel was wearing his seatbelt and had no injuries and his passenger did not have any as well. Engel stated he was traveling southbound on County Road AE when he observed Pingel start to pull out in front of him. Once he realized this and began to lay his motorcycle down due to the impending crash. Pingel had facial injuries along with road rash on other part of his body.

08/28/2020: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 6:27 a.m. on CTHF westbound, in the Town of Marion. Timothy Braley, 20, Berlin, appeared to be northbound on County Road F when he crossed the centerline, left the roadway on the left shoulder, contacted a road sign, and rolled coming to rest on its passenger side. There was nobody near the vehicle and no obvious signs of an injury. A partial bottle of Jack Daniels Tennessee Fire was found inside the vehicle. Phone contact was made with the driver. The driver stated he was going northbound about 45 MPH and the rear end of the truck slipped out due to poor thread. The driver walked to a relative’s house in Redgranite. He was cited for Failure to Keep Vehicle Under Control, Open Intoxicant in Vehicle, Failure to Report an Accident, Operating Without Insurance, and Transporting of Intoxicant by a Minor.

08/28/2020: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 1:40 p.m. on CTHV southbound, in the Town of Richfield. Jose Trevino, 35, Cambria, was traveling southbound on County Road V and went off the roadway on the right. He then corrected left and then overturned coming to a stop on the passenger side. He was hauling an open bed of corn which was lost into the ditch when he overturned. Trevino stated he saw something in the roadway and swerved but was unsure what it was. He stated he had a cut on the back of his head and his arm and leg bothered him. EMS arrived on the scene and he was transported to TC-Wild Rose for further evaluation.
