3/6/2023: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 2:32 a.m. on STH21 eastbound in the Town of Coloma. Robert Maluska, 54, Plainfield, was backing up going eastbound on State Road 21. Tristan Thompson, 70, Wautoma, was stationary in the opposite lane. Maluska continued to back up in the opposite lane and then struck Thompson.
3/6/2023: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 6:25 a.m. on STH22 northbound in the Town of Dakota. Chris Lotspeich, 48, Neshkoro, lost control and spun approximately 180 degrees and came to a final rest in the northbound lane ditch. Weather was a factor.
3/9/2023: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 7:53 p.m. on STH21 westbound in the Town of Coloma. A semi parked on the side of the road facing the wrong direction due to a slide off. Gail Straight, 69, Coloma, turned to the ditch to avoid a collision. Straight lost control of the vehicle, traveled through the ditch and struck a tree and came to a rest. Straight was placed through field sobriety and was arrested for OWI.
3/10/2023: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 8:10 a.m. on an intersection in the Town of Dakota. Payton Roebke, 19, Wautoma, stated the crash happened a few minutes before detective Jesse Gilchrist responded. Roebke stated as he was driving northbound and was turning westbound when he lost control of the vehicle and hit the traffic light on the west side of the intersection. Roebke stated he believed his vehicle was totaled and was leaking fluids.
3/10/2023: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 2:01 p.m. on CTHH in the Town of Leon. November Mankowski, 17, Pine River, drove over slush in the roadway, traveled left of the center, traveling into the westbound ditch. Mankowski was almost facing westbound upon entering the ditch. The vehicle rolled approximately ¾ before coming to rest against a tree.
3/12/2023: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 5:35 a.m. on CTHP westbound in the Town of Rose. Jaylon Zacharias, 20, Wild Rose, lost control and entered the left ditch, striking a mailbox before coming to rest.
3/13/2023: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 5:30 p.m. on Badger Rd. in the Town of Leon. Gary Allemand, 67, Pine River, was traveling on the snow and ice covered roadway. Vehicle began to slide across Ride Road and struck a tree on the northeast of Badger Dr. coming to rest. Allemand stated that when he began to slide he stepped on gas to get out of slide.
3/16/2023: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 8:24 p.m. on STH22 southbound in the Town of Wautoma. Michael Ball, 43, Waupaca, went left of center and then went into the east ditch of Hwy 22. Ball failed to maintain control as it went further into the ditch. Vehicle rolled over at least one time prior to ending on its’ roof.
