Wild Rose School Board approves hiring Miron/Bray management company

The Wild Rose School Board approved a facility planning management company during a December 10 meeting.

The Board listened to lengthy presentations from CG Schmidt, and Miron/Bray representatives regard-ing their services. After considering information provided by both companies, the Board decided to go with Miron/Bray.

The Board received a presentation from Jane Dix regarding course descriptions and offerings for the 2021-22 school year and ended up the changes and additions were approved.

A retirement announce-ment from second grade teacher Terri  Muntner was accepted. The resignation will take effect at the end of the current school year. Muntner expressed an interest in taking up a part-time teaching position if one opens in the future.

A Memorandum of understanding was approved between the school district and Fox Valley Technical College.

Board member Dave Williams was recognized for his 20 years of service on the Board.

An update on the school year was given by District Administrator Craig Hayes. He had consulted with other area school districts on what COVID protocols may or may not be lightened before the end of December or into January.

The elementary princi-pal’s report included the news that the annual penny harvest raised more than $2,000 again, with gift cards being purchased for veterans. A reward dress-up day took place at the elementary level, with the theme being Halloween in November.

DARE graduation will be held on December 18.

The ms/hs principal’s report included the fact that basketball games will start this week, and the musical performances will be held on December 18 & 19. The Key Club is sponsoring a Deck the Door contest with the theme involving winter sports.

 

The next Board meetings are scheduled on Thursdays January 14, February 11, and March 11 at 7:30 p.m.
