From Sept. 8 through June 2, the Wautoma Area School District Food Service Program will be providing free meals to all children 18 and under. Each Wednesday, unless specified through further communication, families will be able to drive-thru or walk up to receive their grab-and-go meals from 10 – 11 a.m. at the locations listed below. This service will begin Tuesday, Sept. 8, and end on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. Wautoma Area School District is a restricted open site, which means, you must sign up to receive meals each week.
Meal pick-up locations:
Redgranite Elementary School, 513 Bonell Ave, Redgranite, door four, Wednesdays between 10 – 11 a.m.
Riverview Elementary School, 525 S. Water Street Wautoma, door five, Wednesdays between 10 – 11 a.m.
Parkside School, 300 S. 16th Ave. Wautoma, door seven, Wednesdays, between 10 – 11 a.m.
Wautoma High School, 514 Cambridge Street. Wautoma, Door two, Wednesdays, between 10 – 11 a.m.
Children will receive grab-and-go lunches and breakfasts for the week. Per USDA regulations, children do not need to be present in order for meals to be provided. Meals are available to all children, not just those attending WASD. However, this WASD is a restricted site, meaning families have to sign up to receive meals a week ahead of time. A new form is posted on Monday each week and is due the same week, Thursday by 5 p.m. for the following weeks’ worth of meals. The weekly sign up form can be found on Wautoma Area School District website and Facebook page or by calling 920-787-7112 ext. 1011.
This program is solely for the pick-up of meals; meals will not be consumed on-site. We encourage families to continue to be proactive in reducing the risk of COVID-19 by not congregating at the pick-up locations. Continue to wash your hands often, sneeze or cough into your elbow or a tissue, and stay home if you are sick.
In addition, meals are free to all WASD students who attend school in person. Meals times for each location can be found on our district website under Food Service.
