Special recognition was given to a couple people during an October 8 Wild Rose School Board meeting.
Teacher Rebecca Gerloff was selected for the University of Chicago’s Outstanding Award nominated by a student who was accepted into the University of Chicago class of 2024. Nominees were to have positive impacts on the lives of those they taught.
Another area resident receiving recognition was John Thompson for the work on the baseball dugouts.
The elementary safety report was given and approved. Fire, tornado, and safety drills has been conducted.
The 2020-21 enrollment/membership was viewed, and the spectators’ attendance at the fall sporting activities was reported on and approved with the COVID-19 protocols.
The progression of the 2020-21 school year was reported on.
The administrative reports were given.
The Board went into closed session to consider 2020-21 school year salaries for: the School counselors; the elementary principal; the middle/high school principal: and the district administrator.
The next Board meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, October 26, and Thursday, November 12.
