Six Wautoma High School students were inducted into the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica Avispones (Hornets) Chapter, sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese, during a ceremony in the high school library on Nov. 19.

The Pine Tree Needlers Quilt Guild were at the Veterans Memorial in Westfield on Nov. 15 to present James Golisch, of Westfield, with the Quilt of Valor. The Quilt was presented by Nancy Kress, Ginger Nehmer, Susan Knaack, Karen Pica, and Linda Helders. James Golisch served in the Army from Jan.

The Governor recently announced America’s Dairyland as the theme for the 2018 Capitol Christmas Tree.

Rebecca Bohn, Ryan Lois, and Mackenzie Ralls, members of Wautoma High School’s Spanish National Honor Society, delivered flowers from the Nov. 19th induction to the Heartland House residents. Thanksgiving cards were also made for the residents in Wautoma.

Darrell Woyak, Wautoma, and his dad, Andy Woyak, Larsen, bagged these trophy bucks opening day in Waushara County. Darrell’s buck was 14 points with a 16 inch inside spread and Andy’s buck had 11 points with a 16.5 inch spread.
