The crafting ladies of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma have been busy finishing up their creations to sell at the annual fall boutique and luncheon on Friday, Oct. 12 and Saturday, Oct. 13 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

On Sept. 29, three HCE members made 18 pairs of fleece mittens for the HeadSTART in Wisconsin Bookworms HCE Program. This program is when many HCE women and men read to children and give them a book to take home, so parents can be involved. This pushes good education in children.

On Oct. 8 at StoneRidge Piggly Wiggly, Wautoma, store manager, Elissa Ewald and Brandon Scholz, Wisconsin Grocers Association, presented Representative Scott Krug the “Friends of Grocers” Award for his outstanding support of the grocers in his district and the state.

State Representative Scott Krug (R-Nekoosa) received the “Friend of Grocers” Award from the Wisconsin Grocers Association on Oct. 8 at StoneRidge Piggly Wiggly, 975 E. Main St., Wautoma.

S.M.A.R.T. is a developmental program that stands for Stimulating, Maturity through, Accelerated, Readiness, Training. In this special classroom the students do a variety of activities using balance beams, trampolines, crawling and rolling activities. These activities help the students work on hand-eye coordination, visual acuity, fine motor skills, spatial relations, and reflexes.
