Village of Neshkoro is alive and well and in the Christmas Spirit
To the Editor:
If you enter the Village of Neshkoro the beautiful “Welcome Sign” will greet you. Then the lighted snowflakes mounted on the light poles will warm you.
As you cross over the bridge your attention will be drawn to River’s Edge Park where the Christmas decorations include “The Carolers” thanks to Mary Braatz, the lighted gazebo, and the lighted Christmas trees. All this was accomplished through the dedicated members of the Neshkoro Enhancement Committee.
Then to top everything the Neshkoro Community Chorus presented “The Lights of December” on Saturday, Dec. 5 at St. James Catholic Church, with 380 chairs set up and filled.
Marilyn Brockhopp and Wayne Donerspike directed the chorus. Door prizes were given and a Citizen of the Year award was presented. The audience was invited to participate in the singing of Handel’s Hallelujah #44 Chorus and received a standing ovation. Cookies, coffee, and punch were served to all who attended.
Kuddos to Neshkoro! You did it again.
