Waushara seniors planning excursion to South Dakota

The Waushara-Wautoma Senior Center spring trip to the Rapid City/Deadwood areas of South Dakota is slated for May 16 to 22.

On the way, participants will enjoy a visit to The Royal River Casino near Sioux Falls as we rest our heads on our first night heading west.

Some of the attractions those on the trip will enjoy will include the famous Mitchell Corn Palace, covered in murals made entirely of seeds and plants started for the first time in 1892 and continuing through today.

From there, travelers will make a stop at the Badlands Visitor Center then travel east of the Black Hills. Then the trip will head to Mt. Rushmore, Bear Country, Reptile Gardens, Big Thunder Gold Mine, 1880s Train ride, Tatanka and Custer Park.
