Information on Your Waushara County
Waushara County’s UW-Extension Family Living Program provides education, resources, and leadership with community partners in order to create an environment where Waushara County families and communities can thrive.
Mary Ann Schilling, Family Living Educator, and Zina Soltis, Interim Family Living Educator and Nutrition Educator focus on education and prevention, plus making a difference in behaviors. They promote better health and nutrition, increase financial literacy, and support parents by adding to their parenting skills.
Education is offered through traditional face-to-face classes and digital technology. One example of local classes is Schilling’s partnering with the Aging Department to offer the Aging Mastery Program® (AMP), which helps baby boomers and older adults take key steps to improve their well-being, add stability to their lives, and strengthen their ties to communities.
