Changes to Well Woman Program

The Wisconsin Well Woman Program (WWWP) is designed to provide preventive health screening services for women with little or no health insurance coverage.

The WWWP pays for mammograms, Pap tests and multiple sclerosis testing for high-risk women. Women can receive these services from participating health care providers. There is no premium, co-payment or deductive for the Well Woman Program.

To qualify for the Well Woman Program, you have to be a woman between the ages of 45 and 64, with a family income level at or below 250 percent of the federal poverty level based on family size. You also need to be uninsured or have insurance that does not cover routine check-ups and screenings.

The Well Woman Program has been serving residents of Waushara County through the WWWP Coordinator at the Green Lake County Public Health Department. This is changing as the Well Woman Program has begun the process of regionalizing their agencies.
