Don’t forget the vaccinations

Back to school time also signals back to the doctor time for lots of families. It’s time for check-ups and dreaded shots, but those shots are key to preventing many types of diseases.

Since the day your child was born they’ve probably been receiving vaccinations. Diseases childhood vaccinations are protecting your child from include; hepatitis B, diphtheria, measles, mumps, rubella, chicken pox, polio and so many more.

You may be thinking many of these diseases aren’t common in the United States anymore, but it’s still important to get vaccinated in case you encounter someone who has the disease. Many times, we see outbreaks of diseases like measles after someone from another country travels to the United States and is infected.
