Tobacco and our youth

It is illegal to sell tobacco products to anyone under the age of 18 in the state of Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) has reported that the teen high school smoking rate has dropped from over 30 percent in 2004 to under 12 percent in 2014.

Unfortunately, the use of e-cigarettes and nicotine vapor among high school students is estimated to be over 35 percent in 2014 and is predicted to rise in 2015 and beyond. It is also illegal to sell these products to anyone under the age of 18.
