s. It can be hard to find time to do physical activity throughout the day, but physical activity is actually a very important part of everyone’s health.
Physical activity has a positive influence on mood, heart health and stress, just to name a few. Do you feel like you don’t have enough time for physical activity or just want to add more activity to your day? There are lots of things you can do throughout your day to add more movement.
You can do some of these simple things to add more activity to your day:
•Park further away from work or the store
•Take the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator
•Walk or bike to do errands around town
•Walk or workout during your lunch break
•Clean the house
•Walk the dog
•Garden or do yard work
•Walk around the house while talking on the phone
•Walk down every aisle of the grocery store while shopping
•Carry things inside in two trips instead of one
•Play with the kids
