Al-Anon Corner

You know what the drinking is doing to them. Do you know what it is doing to you?

All I knew was I was sick. My headaches were from my stress from all the drinking problems. It was how I was reacting to all the problems that came into the home, due to bills piling up, unpaid fines and the children misbehaving at school. The list goes on and on.

It wasn’t until I found the doors to Al-Anon and listened to others sharing how they reacted, knowing it wasn’t working. They did the opposite of what they had just done, and it worked. I listened and learned. I also found that I had to lighten up. I was a hindrance to even myself.

The more meetings I attended, the better I felt. I found I even have a sense of humor.

Why be miserable when help is available? You will get out of it what you put into it. I know I could not stand myself when I first got there. I was so miserable.

Come join us at the CAPsell building on Main Street in Wautoma on Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. There is another meeting on Monday at noon at Hope Lutheran Church in Wautoma.
