Waushara County reports numerous accidents

The Waushara County accident reports recorded from the Waushara County Sheriff's Office:

• 8/18/17: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 10:54 a.m. in a parking lot, Town of Dakota. Janice Sue Heitmann, 53, Berlin, turned right into the parking lot/Johnson Court from State Road 21 eastbound when the lug bolts sheered and her tire fell off of the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

• 8/22/17: A one-vehicle incident occurred at 11:55 p.m. on State Highway 49, Town of Poy Sippi. David Curtis, 45, Redgranite, was traveling southbound on State Highway 49 towing a passenger vehicle. While southbound on State Highway 49, the vehicle being towed caught fire in one of the wheel wells. Curtis pulled over and detached the towed vehicle from the tow truck. No injuries were reported.

• 8/24/17: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 6:45 a.m. on State Road 22, Town of Wautoma. Gavin Alendadre Phillips, 16, Wild Rose, was traveling southbound on State Road 22 when he crossed the centerline into oncoming traffic. When Phillips over corrected upon striking the gravel he lost control of the vehicle entering the ditch and overturning. One citation was issued. No injuries were reported.

• 8/26/17: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 6:37 p.m. on Silver Lake Road, Town of Marion. Larry J. Stellmacher, 52, Redgranite, was backing up to find an open parking spot when another vehicle was pulling in to find a parking spot. Stellmacher stated he did not see the other vehicle. No injuries were reported.
