Waushara County accidents reported
The Waushara County accident reports recorded from the Waushara County Sheriff's Office are as follows:
•8/2/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 4:30 p.m. on County Road W, Town Mt. Morris. A deputy was dispatched to a tree that fell on a vehicle during a severe storm. The vehicle driven by Catherine Crosetto, 52, Wautoma, left the scene and stopped at a residence down the road. Crosetto advised the deputy the tree fell on the vehicle while she was traveling southbound on County Road W. No injuries were reported.
•8/6/15: A three-vehicle accident occurred at 9:32 a.m. on Highway 22, Town of Springwater. Raymond Kotek, 75, Wild Rose, was stopped waiting to turn left as was Randal Kappell, 58, Marion. Joshua Klamm, 19, Wild Rose, stated he saw Kotel and Kappell stopped but was watching the southbound traffic and then was not able to stop in time and rear ended Kappell which then rear ended Kotek. No injuries were reported. One citation was issued.
•8/7/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 10:30 p.m. on 23rd Road, Town of Springwater. Mark Leavitt, 32, Black Creek, was traveling southbound on 23rd Road when he failed to negotiate a curve, skidded off the road out of control into the west ditch and struck two trees, coming to a rest in mud-filled steep ditch against a tree. No injuries were reported.
•8/11/15: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 3:11 p.m. in a parking lot, Town of Dakota. Claude De Haan, 71, Wautoma, backed up and struck a parked vehicle and then left the scene. De Haan was located later and stated that he was backing up along side a vehicle that had down riggers out and he was watching the down riggers and he felt/heard a bump. De Haan said that he never got out of the vehicle. The owner of the second vehicle stated that an unknown female followed the van that backed into hers and the female got the license plate. No injuries were reported.
•8/11/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 3:46 p.m. on County Road H, Town of Leon. Leonard Davis, 45, Pine River, turned onto Beechnut Lane westbound from County Road H. Davis stated that his steering locked up and he could not steer the vehicle. The vehicle went off the road and hit a tree. No injuries were reported.
