Waushara County Accident Reports
The Waushara County accident reports recorded from the Waushara County Sheriff's Office are as follows:
• 6/14/17: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 4:41 p.m. on Cree Road, Town of Marion. John Fischer, 54, Wautoma, was traveling westbound on Cree Road when he came across a large tree in the roadway from a recent storm. There was about 200 yards of visibility prior to the tree and a curve that could have been negotiated. Fischer stated that he looked down and drove right into the tree. One citation was issued. No injuries were reported.
• 6/15/17: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 7:15 p.m. on State Road 49, Town of Aurora. Taylor Farmer, 20, Oshkosh, lost control of her vehicle while negotiating a curve causing the vehicle to exit the roadway on the right side of the roadway. The vehicle then continued down a ditch striking a driveway causing the vehicle to go airborne. Suspected minor injuries reported.
• 6/17/17: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 12:06 p.m. on State Road 21, Town of Marion. Michael Aas, 56, Darlington, passed by an unknown black truck on State Road 21 eastbound. Once Aas got into the passing lane, Aas attempted to pass the black truck. A witness stated he observed Aas “step on it” as exhaust was seen coming from the car. Aas and the black truck were driving side by side and at one point the trailer Aas was towing started to go out of control. The witness stated Aas then lost control and swerved into the south ditch over turning. Aas stated the trailer went out of control and then they crashed. Aas was traveling eastbound on State 21 and skid marks showed Aas and the trailer went out of control, and the trailer crossed the centerline still attached to Aas’ vehicle. Aas then swerved back entering the south shoulder of the road and rolled coming to arrest on its wheels facing north in the south ditch. During the roll, the ball of the trailer hitch broke but remained chained. One citation was issued. Suspected serious injuries reported.
• 6/17/17: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 2:57 p.m. on State Road 22, Town of Springwater. Ricardo Pina Monroy, 25, Wild Rose, was traveling on Akron Drive and pulled out from the stop sign and turn onto State Road 22 in front of Michael Lager, 32, Neenah. Lager attempted to avoid Monroy and went into the ditch after striking the vehicle. Three citations were issued. No injuries were reported.
