Waushara County accident report

The Waushara County accident reports recorded from the Waushara County Sheriff's Office are as follows:

•2/3/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 10:15 a.m. on County Road P, Town of Rose. Shun Chiang, 24, Waupaca, was traveling eastbound on County Road P when he lost control and crossed both lanes of traffic, struck the embankment on the north side of the road, slid along the embankment, then overturned at least 1-½ times to the east. The vehicle then rolled into the ditch about 1-½ times to the north coming to a rest on the passenger side.

Chiang stated he was doing about 55 mph when the car stated to drift to the left. He applied the brake, which caused the vehicle to begin to swerve back and forth and hit the embankment and the car slid and started to roll. Possible injuries were reported. One citation was issued.

•2/5/15: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 6:55 a.m. on County Road AE, Town of Saxeville. Richard Thompson, 46, Wild Rose, was traveling southbound on County Road AE when his vehicle struck a deceased deer lying in the southbound lane. Thompson reported the crash when he arrived home and stated he did not want to be stranded on the highway in the severe cold. He stated he did not see the deer immediately and tried to straddle the deer between the tires. He said his vehicle bounced over the deer, stopped and then he continued home. No injuries were reported.
