Waushara County accident report

The Waushara County accident reports recorded from the Waushara County Sheriff's Office:
• 9/15/17: A two-vehicle hit-and-run accident occurred at 7:37 p.m. at the intersection of County Road X and Town of Aurora. Marcelino Vasquez, 45, Berlin, was traveling northbound on State Road 49 when he attempted to make a right turn onto County Road X eastbound. Vasquez crossed the centerline during his turning maneuver and struck Jean Coulson, 61, Berlin, while Coulson was stopped at the stop sign facing westbound. Vasquez did not stop and Coulson followed him to an address in Berlin where he denied being involved in a crash. No injuries were reported. Six citations were issued.

• 9/15/17: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of State Road 152 and Buttercup Avenue, Town of Mt. Morris. A Waushara County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a single vehicle accident. When the deputy arrived, he identified Richard Smith, 63, Greenville, as the registered operator. Smith was traveling westbound when the vehicle crossed the centerline and ran off the roadway striking a boulder causing the vehicle to go airborne, striking a tree and coming to a rest on top of the boulder. Possible injuries were reported. Three citations were issued.

• 9/17/17: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 8:25 a.m. on State Road 21, Town of Marion. William Krieser, 53, Montello, swerved to avoid striking a deer when his vehicle went into the ditch to the right, striking numerous rocks and trees. No injuries were reported.

• 9/22/17: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 9:54 a.m. on Mill Street, Village of Wild Rose. Kenneth Doubek, 48, Wild Rose, was backing out of the driveway of Toms Garage and backed into the illegally parked vehicle owned by Edgar Marshall, 81, San Antonio, TX. Marshall stated he parked there as there was no room to park in the lot when he arrived. No injuries were reported.

• 9/23/17: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 7:11 p.m. at the intersection of County Road Z and State Road 21, Town of Marion. Jordan J. Stoss, 75, Wautoma, was traveling eastbound on State Road 21 when it slowed to make a left turn on County Road Z. The driver misjudged the turn drove past the turn and into the ditch before rolling the vehicle on its roof. Suspected serious injuries were reported.
